Nature trails. Winding throughout 32-acres, our trails take you through beautiful wildflowers and by our gorgeous lake and ponds. Lookout towers along the way give you a true birds-eye view.
Fishing. Our fully stocked large lake offers more fish than any fisherman could imagine. Everyone comes out a winner here - and that is no fish tale!
Gardening. Our expansive greenhouse is sure to satisfy the greenest of green thumbs. Climate controlled year round, something is always coming up.
Wildlife. Adjacent is the Greene-Sullivan State forest that boasts almost 9,000 acres of beautiful woodland and rolling hills dotted with more than 300 lakes, making it one of the most unique areas in Indiana. Favorite activities include fishing, hunting, picnicking, mushroom hunting, horseback riding, photography and wildlife viewing. In addition to hunting and fishing, bird watching is a boon to the area. Both State areas form 17,000 acres or 26 square miles of recreational area.
The Goose Pond restoration expands and complements a complex of recreational resources in southwestern Indiana:
‣Greene-Sullivan State Forest (7,000 acres along the western border of the project)
‣Minnehaha State Fish and Wildlife Area (8,000 acres 10 miles to the northwest)
‣Shakamak State Park (2,500 acres 13 miles to the north)
‣Turtle Creek Reservoir (2,000 acres 20 miles to the west near the Wabash River)
‣West Fork of the White River (six miles south of Goose Pond)
‣Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge and Management Area (48 miles south)
